Abstract
The reaction of14N-active nitrogen with15N-ammonia produces only N2and H2. The nitrogen is exclusively14N15N. It is concluded that the primary process [Formula: see text](where N2* is probably in the A3Σu +state, or a vibrationally excited X1Σg +state) is followed by the secondary reactions [Formula: see text] [Formula: see text]which consume nitrogen atoms, in disagreement with earlier conclusions about the ammonia reaction. Keywords
