Abstract
The rind of lemon contains a mixture of flavanones to which the name "citrin" was given. This acts like a vit. and is provisionally named vit. P. It lowers blood pressure and favorably influences capillary fragility, effects not produced by either of its constituents, hesperidin and eriodictid, a glucoside. Citrin was extracted from lemon rinds by boiling alc., followed by purifications of the extract. For intraven. use the daily therapeutic dose for man is 50 mgms. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
