Abstract
A microscopic historadiographic technic for locating and quantitating a emitting radioactive elements in tissues and cells is described. The technic requires (1) the use of fine grained Ag bromide emulsions selectively sensitive to a radiation, (2) mounting of tissue sections permanently on the emulsion at the beginning of the exposure, (3) exami-ination of prepns. at 400 diams. in dark field for counting alpha particle tracks and (4) examination of prepns. at 1000-2000 diams. for detn. of the cellular locations of the parent atom by tracing the straight tracks through emulsion to points of origin in cells.
