Abstract
Thermocouples were placed into the uterine serosa and saphenous artery of four dairy heifers. Injection of Estradiol-17β (3 mg) caused a 0.25 C decrease (P<.01) in the difference between uterine and aortic temperatures (

) by 2.5 hr. post injection. In contrast there was no significant change in the

after injection of saline. The Estradiol-17β induced decrease in
