Vitamin C in rose hips

Abstract
Examination of several hundred specimens of rose hips from 14 British spp. showed that those spp. grown in Scotland and northern England contain more than 1,000 mg. per 100 g. of flesh, those native to the midlands and Wales less, and those found entirely in southern England least of all. less than 250 mg. Of 21 foreign spp. the hips of the richest, Rosa jedtschenkoana, contained up to 4,800 mg./100 g. of flesh.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
