Abstract
Soft tissue sarcomas remain an uncommon neoplasm. They do, however, provide a significant model for the examination of genetic predisposition, natural history, and therapeutic strategies for localized, regional and disseminated disease. Approaches developed in these solid tumours may well provide a rational basis for the management of other malignancies. Keywords
