Abstract
Electric utilities presently use static optimization techniques to solve the economic load allocation problem. Experience has shown that a number of difficulties arise when these solutions are incorporated in the feedback control of dynamic electric power networks. This research attempts to overcome the disadvantages of such controllers by combining economic load allocation and supplementary control action into a single dynamic optimal control problem. Keywords
