Low-Temperature Specific Heats of Alloys Based on the Noble Metals, Cu, Ag, and Au:α-Phase Ag-Sn Alloys

Abstract
Heat-capacity measurements have been made below 4.2°K on a series of silver-tin alloys. The alloys covered the entire range of α-phase solid solutions. The density of states at the Fermi surface is found to have a maximum. The data are interpreted in terms of possible models involving interaction of electrons with the Brillouin zone.
