Abstract
In the adult, tissue-specific stem cells are thought to be responsible for the replacement of differentiated cells within continuously regenerating tissues, such as the liver, skin, and blood system. In this review, we will consider the factors that influence stem cell fate, taking as a primary example the cell fate determination of hematopoietic stem cells.Keywords
