Abstract
Neutron scattering spectra from polycrystalline benzene have been obtained at temperatures between 77 and 270°K. These measurements are compared to recent calculations of spectra using a lattice frequency distribution based on optically determined force constants. The results at different temperatures are discussed, and qualitative agreement between calculated and measured cross sections at lower temperatures is obtained. Keywords
