Improved Column Systems for Gas Chromatographic Determination of Hydrazine Impurities

Abstract

An improved set of columns is described for the gas chromatographic analysis of hydrazine. No one column gave adequate separation of the impurities commonly found in hydrazine. Carbon dioxide, ammonia, water, monomethyl hydrazine, unsymmetrical dimethyl hydrazine, and isopropanol are resolved using two sets of two columns in series.
