The Correlation Between the Clinical Appearance of the Skin and the Skin Lipid Secretion in Middle-Aged and Old Individuals

Abstract
In a study of the sebum secretion of a group of 84 men and 75 women Dr. Kvorning and Dr. Klrk observed some correlation between the quantity of lipid secreted and the appearance of the skin. The correlation was particularly apparent between the amount of secreted sebum and the size of the openings of the sebaceous ducts and was more noticeable in the women than in the men.
