New model for thermal effects in photoelectron spectroscopy

Abstract
A new model is proposed to explain recently observed anomalous Debye-Waller factors in photoelectron spectra from Cu(110). The bands are described by a tight-binding formalism, and their response to thermal vibrations is found to be strongly dependent of -space location.
