Abstract
Forty-five different thyroxine analogues have been compared to l-thyroxine for their ability to decrease the thyroid collection of I131 in the rat. On a weight basis only 3,5,3''-triiodo-l-thyronine was found more effective than l-thyroxine. Compounds containing iodine were all capable of producing some inhibition providing the dosage was adequate. Keywords
