Abstract
The magnetic properties of the compound Dy2Fe17 were studied by means of 161Dy and 57Fe Mossbauer spectroscopy. The data were analysed in terms of the mean-field model. It is shown that the interaction between the Fe moments (4.2*10-22J) is about three times stronger than the interaction between rare-earth and iron moments (-1.2*10-22J).Keywords
