Abstract
Two patients are described, the first presenting a more complete picture than the second one. Both had the same injuries in the frontal area followed by unconsciousness. A striking description of this disturbance is given by these two cases, covering a span of 15 and 6 years respectively. Failure to visualize an image did not interfere with recognition. The first patient was a builder''s manager and the inability to visualize an image necessitated frequent referral to specifications when dealing with a house. Similar characteristics referred to other experiences. Dreams were experienced without the images being recalled or apparently observed. Neurotic features were thought to have been excluded from the 1st patient, the 2nd patient developed extreme depression.
