Abstract
Previously, we have shown that plasmid-mediated multiplication of Saccharomyces cerevisiae wild-type SUP35 gene leads to omnipotent suppression and is incompatible with psi-factor, which is an endogenous extrachromosomal suppressor. Here, we describe a frequent de-novo appearance of psi-like factors in mitotic progeny of yeast transformants containing multicopy SUP35 gene. Keywords
