Abstract
The authors show that structure produced in the ionisation continuum via multiphoton ionisation by an intense laser field of frequency omega enhances the generation of optical harmonics at frequencies omega /sub /k=(k0+k) omega , with k=0, 1, 2, . . ., where ionisation requires a minimum of k0 photons. Keywords
