Abstract
The fabrication of polar structures of thin films has been demonstrated for the molecular moieties of 2-methy1-4-nitroaniline and two diacetylenes, by alternately depositing their and arachidic acid's monolayers. It has been found that the packing of one of the diacetylenes in such a polar film differs from that in the single component Y-type film, resulting in a different polymerization behavior. Keywords
