Abstract
New tableau formulas are derived which allow mixed configuration Russell-Saunders states to be expressed in terms of products of their pure configuration constituents. Using these and other simple tableau formulas, matrix elements for spin- and orbit-dependent operators can be easily evaluated for mixed configurations without the use of recoupling or fractional-parentage coefficients. Keywords
