Electrophoretic Precipitin Test on Cellulose Acetate

Abstract
The electrophoretic precipitin test (electropre-cipitin test), herein described, is an effective means of demonstrating precipitin reactions. It appears to be as sensitive as the gel diffusion technic of double diffusion in one dimension. The procedure is limited by the amount of reactants necessary to produce a visible precipitate on cellulose acetate, which is, as yet, undetermined. It is suggested that where potent antiserums are available, the test may be of value as a screening procedure in detecting minute amounts of antigen.
