Statistical mechanics of dielectric fluids in electric fields: A mean-field treatment

Abstract

A previously developed theory of dielectric fluids in the presence of electric fields is extended and applied to a mean-field model to yield explicit results, which are compared to Monte Carlo results of Pollock and Alder.
