Abstract
We report the case of a 22-year-old woman suffering from peripartumcardiomyopathy who was successfully bridged to cardiac transplantation witha Novacor left ventricular assist device (LVAD). Her course with the deviceis presented and emphasis is put on the size mismatch between the patientand the device, a fact with normally precludes the implantation of theNovacor LVAD.Keywords
