Abstract
We have calculated electronic and transport properties of two-dimensional electron gases (2DEG’s) under a c/Iperiodic magnetic field. In the perturbation framework, the magnetoresistances are similar to those of 2DEG’s under a spatial potential modulation, although the classical picture of cyclotron motion differs from the E×B drift. A flat-band condition and an additional term in the Hall conductivity have been found in the current system. We have suggested experimental avenues for the study of magnetically modulated 2DEG’s.
