Nonrelativistic Partial-Wave Scattering of Electrons by Ionized Atoms

Abstract

A nonrelativistic partial-wave analysis of scattering of electrons by positive and negative ions has been made. Differential cross sections for ${\mathrm{O}}^{-}\left({}_{}{}^2{}_{}{}^{}P\right)$, ${\mathrm{Na}}^{+}\left({}_{}{}^1{}_{}{}^{}S\right)$, and ${\mathrm{Ne}}^{+}\left({}_{}{}^2{}_{}{}^{}P\right)$ were calculated for incident electron energies between 1 and 40 keV.
