Abstract
The hydrolyzable and condensed tannins were found to be the common molluscicidal factor of tannin-bearing plants in the control of freshwater snails which transmit schistosomiasis in the Sudan and other countries. This was based on the variable molluscicidal activity exhibited by these plants, indicating their chemotaxonomic interrelationship.Keywords
