Far infra-red vibrational spectra of crystalline and amorphous As2Se3

Abstract
The far infra-red absorption in amorphous and single-crystal As2Se3 has been measured at frequencies between 10 and 700 cm−1 and at temperatures down to 10°K. The low-frequency (25 cm−1) dielectric constant, determined from interference fringes and reflectivity, is 97·2±0·15. The results are discussed in terms of molecular vibrations and the far infra-red conductivity is related to dielectric loss.
