Abstract
Lysophosphatidylserine has been prepared from phosphatidylserine-rich fractions of human brain by reaction with snake-venom phospholipase A in an aqueous system. The successful isolation of the lysophosphatidylserine depended on the differential chromatographic behavior on silicic acid columns of the acid-washed substrate and of the product of the enzyme reaction. Some of the properties of the purified compound are described. Keywords
