Polyethylene Glycol 600: An Efficient Liquid Phase for Alcohols and Free Fatty Acids

Abstract

Good resolution of a mixture of linear primary alcohols, as well as separation of a mixture of linear free fatty acids can be obtained using Polyethylene Glycol 600 on an unmodified support. These separations are obtained at temperatures well below those required using other liquid phases.
