Diseases of the VeinsVaricose VeinsThe surgical treatment of varicose veins has generally returned to a radical stripping procedure to remove the long saphenous vein from the groin to the internal malleolus, and the short saphenous vein, when it is involved, from the popliteal space to the external malleolus.
