Abstract
A method is outlined for obtaining the effect of geometry on the propagation of space‐charge waves in a cylindrical electron beam under arbitrary direct current conditions. In particular, the case of the complete‐space‐charge diode is discussed in detail. The results of this theory are verified by the experiments of Cutler and Quate.Keywords
