Abstract
Calorimetric measurements have been made in the temperature range 1°K to 77°K on W, Mo, and Re. At the lowest temperatures for W and Mo the specific heat could be resolved into a lattice function together with an electric term, . It was found that at the lowest temperatures (a), for W, and cal/mole- (b), for Mo, K and cal/mole-. These new measurements on tungsten indicate the need for revising previously quoted data.
