Pressure and temperature dependence of dielectric properties of brominated trissarcosine calcium chloride

Abstract
The dielectric properties of brominated trissarcosine calcium chloride (TSCCB) with chlorine and bromine in molar fractions (1-x) and x respectively (xc and the spontaneous polarisation Ps decrease rapidly with increasing the molar fraction x of bromide, whereas Tc increases greatly with pressure and Ps is almost independent of pressure. The triple point (paraelectric-ferroelectric-new phase) of TSCCB shifted towards higher pressures and lower temperatures with increasing x. By observing the P-E hysteresis loop, the ferroelectric transition of TSCB was found to appear on application of pressure (e.g. at 7 kbar at -165 degrees C).
