Abstract
In brief: A comparison of injury between boys and girls in eight similar sports showed that there was no difference in overall or individual injury rates. The girls had a significantly greater number of knee injuries and significantly more loss of time because of ankle injury. Although these differences existed, the girls did not show any general increase in joint injury or any increase in severity of knee or other joint injury. Keywords
