Abstract
The magnetic induction in homopolar alternators is found by a method developed in a companion paper. The mathematical procedure and the selection of the mesh system and the identification system for the different mesh points is explained. A computer program for the numerical solution by overrelaxation of the boundary value problem is developed and applied to a 95 KVA, 115/220V, 3,300 cps. 40,800 rpm. alternator. The results show the decrease of the airgap induction fundamentals with increased excitation.Keywords
