Abstract
An efficient Automatic-Repeat-Request (ARQ) logic, for use in systems with high error rate two-frequeney-simplex data channels, is proposed. The throughput efficiency provided by this logic is compared with that of conventional "stop-and-wait" ARQ, and a significant improvement is shown to be available. Particular emphasis is placed on the use of this logic for data transmission to mobile land vehicles.
