Metastatic Carcinoid

Abstract
A review of the world literature disclosed no previous reports of a familial occurrence of metastatic carcinoid tumors. The carcinoid tumor is an endocrine tumor, serotonin being secreted by the Kultschitzky cell. Many endocrine tumors have a familial incidence. As carcinoid tumors become more widely recognized, they may have a familial occurrence similar to other endocrine tumors.
