Chitinovorous Bacteria

Abstract

17 types of chitinovorous bacteria have been isolated, none of which correspond to species now listed in Bergey''s Manual. Sources of material and methods of isolation are given as well as the morphological and cultural characteristics of the various types, and brief discussions of their possible relations to previously described species.
