The X-ray crystal structure and electronic energy levels of the square-pyramidal µ-formato-monodiethylenetriaminecopper(II) formate

Abstract

The crystal structure of µ-formato-monodiethyl-enetriaminecopper(II) formate has been determined and shown to contain a square-pyramidal stereochemistry: the single-crystal electronic properties indicate a oneelectron orbital sequence d_x²–y² > d_z² > d_xy > d_xz > d_yz consistent with the low axial distortion present.
