Abstract
Three methods for the detn. of blood vol. were compared on 10 dogs, using T-1824, red cells impregnated with P32, and plasma protein iodinated with I131. The avg. blood vols. expressed as % of body wt. were: T-1824, 10.5%; tagged red cells, 9.7%; and iodinated protein, 9.4%. The method using iodinated protein proved to be simple and direct. It allowed detns. over a longer period of time and with greater accuracy than the other 2 methods. Keywords
