Abstract
Twenty-four lines of the microwave spectrum of oxygen molecule have been carefully measured. The theoretical origin of this spectrum is reexamined and the effect of centrifugal distortion is taken into account. The agreement between theory and experiment is satisfactory. It is pointed out that this spectrum is not suitable to determine the velocity of light. Keywords
