Summary 1. Gentle stretching of the rabbit aortic strip produces rapid relaxation, and single doses can be applied at intervals as short as every 7 minutes. 2. Use of this preparation for a variety of purposes is described, including a 4-point bioassay of catecholamines and pharmacological studies, as exemplified by potentiation and inactivation.
