Abstract
Sir, It had long been the intention of my late revered Uncle, Dr. Jenner, to lay the accompanying observations on the Migration of Birds, before the Royal Society, as well from inclination, as to redeem a pledge he had given some years ago to that learned Body; but which he was unable to accomplish, in consequence of his extensive correspondence with almost every part of the globe on the interesting subject of Vaccination, which occupied nearly the whole of the time his more immediate professional avocations would allow him to bestow on other objects. It was my peculiar happiness to accompany Dr. Jenner in most of his investigations of the phenomena of migration; and the Paper I have now the honour of presenting, was left in my hands at the time of his decease.
