Abstract
The hyperfine field and isomer shift at iron sites in dilute iron-base alloys containing Ge, As, Sn, and Sb impurities were determined by Mössbauer measurements. Similar information was obtained for the tin sites in Sn alloys. These experimental data, together with those published earlier for Al, Si, and Ga solutes, support a model which supposes that only the impurity excess electrons take part in the charge screening. The interactions between iron spin-up electrons and impurity or electrons are held responsible for the increase in iron moment with impurity concentration in the case of Ga, Ge, As, Sn, and Sb solutes.
