Abstract
General expressions for the non-adiabatic transition probability between two quasistationary states exerting a localised (quasi) degeneracy are derived in the adiabatic- and sudden-perturbation limits. Specific applications of general results are made to the Landau-Zener and - pi rotational transitions. Keywords
