Abstract
Eight genes of celery (Apium graveolens) were characterized by classical segregation analyses: Adh-1, Adh-2, Pgm-2, Pgm-3, Pgi-3, Mdh-3, Sdh- 1, and A-112. Evidence for the existence of additional ADH and PGI loci also is presented. Among the pairwise cosegregatlon tests conducted, three linkages were detected: Adh-1-Pgm-3 (1.04). Pgi 3 (9.07), and Pgm-2-Sdh-1 (39.10). Adh-1 and Adh-2 segregated independently.
