Abstract
The apparatus described can record changes in weight of a solid, either in the presence of a gas or in vacuo, at temperatures of up to 1000[degree]C, to an accuracy of [plus or minus] 0.2 mg with a total range of approximately 5 g. Simplicity in construction is achieved by use of only standard radio and electrical components. Applications include thermogravimetric analysis, gas sorption and studies of gas-solid reactions.
