Abstract
Some of the basic results of the theory of the superconducting proximity effect have been generalized to apply to strong-coupling systems. The results agree with Moormann's theory of the proximity effect between weakcoupling superconductors with different Debye frequencies and also indicate that logarithmic frequency averaging is correct. The theoretical results are compared with experimental data on thin films and eutectic alloys, and the agreement is very good. Keywords
