New cavity design for a LiNbO3 optical parametric oscillator

Abstract
A new cavity design for a Nd–YAG‐pumped LiNbO3 optical parametric oscillator has been developed for resonating the low‐frequency component between 2.2 and 4.0 μ. The design allows for rapid conversion between medium (0.8 cm1) and high (0.06 cm1) resolution configurations. The use of digital feedback servocontrols enables computer scanning over a range of 400 and 4 cm1 in medium‐ and high‐resolution modes, respectively.
