Abstract
The first three moments for transitions between offset harmonic oscillators in a single configurational coordinate are derived for the Condon approximation. The derivation uses simple recursion techniques based on the Manneback recursion formulas for the vibrational overlap integrals. The first two moments are compared with moments obtained previously by quantum-mechanical transform methods and semiclassical methods. Keywords
